The Lesson
This module zooms out and asks what kind of life you’re building, not just what kind of business. It’s about integrating purpose into everything, squeezing more opportunity out of where you already are, and letting go of artificial pressure.
Maximize Capacity
- Are you squeezing the most out of where life already has you?
- Before creating more spinning plates, look at what you’re already doing
- Don’t add more. Multiply what’s already there
Big idea: What if your next business breakthrough is already sitting in the bleachers with you at your kid’s game?
Remove the Deadlines
- Most of our pressure comes from made-up deadlines
- If you’re building something you never want to quit, there’s no rush
- Presence beats pressure
Big idea: If you remove the deadline, you remove the stress.
Blur the Lines
- Faith, family, and business don’t need to be separated
- The goal isn’t work-life balance, it’s alignment and harmony
- A life of significance integrates everything that matters
Big idea: Don’t compartmentalize your mission. Integrate it.
Reflect
- Where does life already have me showing up regularly? Sports, school, church, community…
- Where is the opportunity I’ve overlooked in my current circle?
- How could I show up more fully or relationally in those spaces?
- What pressure am I putting on myself to arrive by a certain date?
- What am I afraid will happen if I slow down?
- Where am I keeping life and business too separate?
- How can I bring my family into the mission?
- What would change if I knew I was playing a long game?
- What would it look like to live ONE life, with mission, purpose, family, work, and faith all aligned?
This Week’s Homework
Capacity Maximizer List three places you already show up consistently. For each one, write one way you could better serve or connect, and one way that could turn into a deeper relationship or opportunity.
Deadline Detox Write down your biggest personal or professional deadline. Ask: who created this deadline? Is it serving me? Then rewrite the timeline with margin and intention.
Bonus Tools: One Life Integration Map + Margin Builder (workbook p. 42)
Two tools. The Integration Map places your core values at the center and maps how you live each one out across faith, family, work, and community. The Margin Builder is your anti-hustle weekly planner, built around what can wait rather than what can be squeezed in.
